THE BLUFF is Southern University's premier low powered FM radio station, dedicated to providing unparalleled educational and experiential learning opportunities for students. We aim to be a vibrant hub for broadcasting, content creation, and community engagement, fostering an environment of student empowerment and innovation.

Our core objectives are to:

• Cultivate Talent: Provide a dynamic learning and working environment that hones students' skills in audio production, radio broadcasting, content management, leadership, time management, human relations, teamwork, and fiscal responsibility. This hands-on experience in a product-oriented setting encourages high levels of interaction, cooperation, and collaboration.

• Disseminate Information &  Entertainment: Deliver diverse and engaging programming, including music, news, opinions, entertainment, and other relevant broadcast materials to the Southern University community and beyond.

• Support  Academic  Programs: Serve as a vital laboratory experience, directly supporting the instructional programs within the  Department of Mass Communication and other related disciplines.

• Enhance  Student Life: Offer meaningful extracurricular activities that allow students to develop their passions, build portfolios, and connect with peers and mentors.

• Foster Free  Expression: Provide a crucial platform for  the open exchange of ideas, diverse opinions, and timely information, fulfilling a role essential to a vibrant university in a democratic society.

• Be a Campus Voice: Act as the primary source for university music, news, event coverage, and campus updates.

• Sustain Growth: Implement a robust recruiting  plan to continuously attract and retain talented students, ensuring the  ongoing success and evolution of the station.

• Produce Quality Content: Empower student broadcasters to  develop, produce, and deliver high-quality audio content, including  traditional radio shows and modern podcasts.
